About Me: Archie’s Mom

Most people know me as Archie’s mom.
My name is Donna.

I love my cats more than I love myself, and everything I do is done with them in mind. Their safety, comfort, and happiness guide every decision, whether it’s what I create, what I share, or how I move through the world.

I founded this page in 2021, during a time of profound personal change. That same year, I learned that I wouldn’t be able to have human children. I had always imagined five of them, on a big farm..but life had other plans. A big farm filled with animals will do just fine.

At my core, I am a creative. I make things because I have to. I play piano, sing, and write music. I dabble in nearly every art form I can get my hands on, always chasing the feeling of bringing something meaningful into existence.

That need to create lives most fully through my small business, Terra Mater (Latin for Mother Earth). It’s the embodiment of everything I care about: nature, animals, free will, pure souls, and things made with intention. I create clothing, bags, and accessories from vintage and reclaimed materials, everything from bedsheet skirts to upcycled hoodies. each piece carrying a story of where it’s been and where it’s going next.

Whether you find me at the piano, behind a sewing machine, or curled up with the cats, I’m always working on something in my head. The ideas never stop.

I want to leave a positive mark on the world. To leave things better than I found them. To approach every interaction with care and intention. I never want this space to feel so big that connection is lost, because meaningful community matters to me, even when it exists entirely online.

No matter what you see from me today or tomorrow, there is always more coming. My growth will be lifelong. I will reach my goals..and when I do, I hope you’ll look back and feel proud that you supported the right kind of person.
